JCK and MJSA Join Forces to Provide Hands-On, Tech and Experiential Pavilion within JCK Tucson 2017

Jun 14, 2016

Norwalk, CT (June 14, 2016) — JCK Tucson's new-designer focused model made its debut at the events' latest edition this past February 2016 to critical industry acclaim. Building on that momentum, JCK Tucson is proud to announce a unique partnership between JCK Tucson and MJSA, the U.S. trade association dedicated to professional excellence in custom jewelry making and design: They will introduce a new pavilion at JCK Tucson 2017 offering retailers an exclusive opportunity to work and interact with MJSA members on custom work.

JCK Tucson distinguishes itself from other Tucson events as it offers a captivated retailer audience who are passionate about unique, designer jewelry and the various components needed to imagine and create custom pieces. Surrounded by picturesque natural beauty JCK Tucson is the jewelry industry's winter oasis offering a relaxing yet productive environment for business and networking at the AAA four-diamond JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort. The Arizona Ballroom focuses on carefully curated designers with unique one-of-a-kind collections including the likes of Alishan, Aaron Henry, Todd Reed and more. The MJSA pavilion, in the Tucson Ballroom, will be a destination of carefully chosen exhibitors accompanied by demonstrations, on-the-show floor education and fireside chats.

John Carter from Jack Lewis Jewelers, a JCK Loyalist retailer, expressed the importance of an offering like this, "When I attend JCK Tucson, I center around convenience in a relaxed environment. I'm taking the gemstones that I've found throughout the week and working hands-on with vendors on mounting, and designing pieces so that when I return back to my store, I'm ready to sell all my new finds."

The partnership between the two industry powerhouses is an important one as it brings together the best-in-class exhibitors of MJSA and the resources and knowhow of bringing retailers and the industry together from JCK. David Cochran, President and CEO of MJSA, comments "We are pleased that JCK approached MJSA to collaborate on a supplier pavilion of MJSA members for JCK Tucson 2017. JCK's Tucson show offers an opportunity for select suppliers to interact with renowned designers and elite retailers from across the country in the beautiful JW Marriott Starr Resort setting minutes from the downtown convention center."

When looking for a strategic partner for Tucson, Industry Vice President, Katie Dominesey looked no further than MJSA, "the expertise of MJSA's members is the best in the industry and was the first place we looked. We knew that we wanted to give retailers the chance to touch and feel and start creating pieces onsite at the Starr Pass. The MJSA members enable us to bring a whole new dimension to being inspired."

Other changes for JCK Tucson include an increased retailer hosting program of 90 design focused retailers, a new optimal 4-day date pattern, and additional programming, ensuring that the show provides content in a relaxed, non-pressure environment. JCK Tucson will take place Wednesday, February 1 – Saturday, February 4, 2017.
