Norwalk, CT (October 22, 2015) – LUXURY Miami made a successful debut last week at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Opening its doors on Wednesday, October 14th to invited high end retailers, LUXURY Miami continued through Thursday, October 15th and Friday, October 16th alongside Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) allowing buyers convenient access to both events. Taking place in the elegant and private Palm Ballroom, LUXURY Miami brought together 32 of the industry's most elite talent and design collections along with 247 high end buyers representing 122 retail stores.
"We were very pleased with the first LUXURY Miami Event. Our overall goal for this type of show is to engage with buyers from the Caribbean, South & Central Americas, and Mexico. Not only did they attend, but so did various foreign media organizations to promote the event and brands in their respective countries. Buyers were enthusiastic at the show and very impressed with the upscale setting enabling them to concentrate on better goods purchases. I feel that LUXURY Miami has the potential to become a must-attend event as the Vegas shows have become for retailers," commented Edmond Dweck, Vice-President Sales & Marketing, Stephen Dweck.
Every detail was luxuriously executed from the chic salon décor, to the merchandise credit raffles, afternoon snacks, cocktails, and networking events. On Wednesday evening the LUXURY community took part in the inaugural White-Out Launch Party at the Delano's hot spot, FDR. Friday introduced an educational element that featured Ben Smithee, CEO of The Smithee Group and partner at LUXEINTELLIGENCE, who spoke to retailers about success in the digital world.
"In just four months since we announced the launch of LUXURY Miami, our customers, team and industry supporters came together to build a great first showing. Retailers and exhibitors were impressed with the glamorous environment we created and the luxurious touches at every turn. This event gives us momentum to build an even greater event next year. We've already seen interest from great new brands and designers, and plan to double the number of collections represented in 2016," stated Sarin Bachmann, LUXURY Event Director.
"Having the opportunity to attend the inaugural Luxury Miami show was a wonderful experience. The show was intimate, which allowed us to have personalized attention from the high-end, diverse vendors exhibiting. We were able to meet new contacts and complete our purchasing for the season. Being attached to the JIS show was an added convenience as well. As always, the LUXURY show provided excellent food, entertainment and hospitality. We're definitely looking forward to attending the future LUXURY and JIS Miami shows," said Suzanne Leigh, Owner of Leigh Jewelers in Vero Beach, FL.
Up next for LUXURY is Las Vegas taking place May 31 - June 6, 2016 (by invitation only May 31 - June 2) at the Four Seasons, Mandalay Bay and DELANO Las Vegas.
