LUXURY Wraps its 3-Day Las Vegas Preview Event

Well-Rounded Event Boasts New Content, Collections, and Strong Buying

Las Vegas, NV (June 5th, 2017) –– LUXURY by JCK concluded its invitation-only preview in Las Vegas yesterday. The shift of the show’s day pattern (starting on Friday as opposed to Tuesday due to the Shavuot Holiday) to accommodate observers was appreciated.

“We are very excited to welcome everyone, both longstanding and new, to the show this year,” said Sarin Bachmann, Industry Vice President of LUXURY Events. “Our focus this year was to provide the best business environment for our brands and retailers, providing upgraded amenities and service throughout the day - we’ve received very positive feedback. The retailer turnout and optimistic mood is a true testament to the quality of product and content that each of the LUXURY, Prestige, LUXURY Watch and new Design @LUXURY exhibiting brands have brought to Vegas – showcasing their best, new and one-of-a-kind collections.”

Each morning LUXURY kicked off with hosted breakfasts and powerful keynote addresses. Kathy Ireland, one of Forbes’ “Richest Self Made Women,” spoke on Friday about disruptive entrepreneurship. Dr. Robert Cooper, a renowned neuroscientist and NYT best-selling author gave a riveting and insightful address on Saturday about the importance of meeting consumer needs to “Reinvent Retail.” Sunday’s final keynote was delivered by Ritz-Carlton’s Bruce Himelstein who spoke to the importance of established brands incrementally evolving to keep pace with attracting new customers.

When it came time for business, buyers descended upon the ballrooms in search of new iterations from favorite designers and brands. Those looking for something novel, landed in the new Design @LUXURY section, where new designers such as Feral, Lindsey Scoggins, and Joon Han are showcasing a modern and fashion-forward approach to high-end jewelry. In between appointments, LUXURY ensured its guests had ample opportunity for leisure and refueling. Many patrons sipped specially crafted teas from the new Tea Lounge or a coffee from the fully-operational Starbucks while taking in a live hand-painting session by artist Angie Crabtree.

Retailers also enjoyed new programs including “LUXURY Match” where buyers could get recommendations on new vendors who carried the products they were looking for and a new rewards program “New to You” which provided instant rewards (including hotel accommodations) for appointments and purchases with brands that were “new” to them. After business on the show floor concluded networking continued with daily happy hours at the brand new hotspot Libertine Social and late night lounge at Eye Candy.

LUXURY continues through Thursday, June 8 opening to all JCK Las Vegas retailers.
