A larger footprint, new brands, and increased attendance set tone for a strong weekend ahead

Las Vegas, NV (June 5, 2016) — LUXURY, JCK’s premier high-end event, began its annual run earlier this week with a 3-day, invite-only event for qualified buyers. The Show welcomed more stores and industry professionals than years past (increases of 9% and 3% respectively). In addition to increased buyer attendance LUXURY also boasted an impressive lineup of elite brands including addition of the Prestige family, and LUXURY Watch. Now open to the entire JCK community, LUXURY will run through Monday, June 6 and LUXURY Watch through Sunday, June 5 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.

In addition to the expanded show floor, spread throughout two grand ballrooms, the event was flecked with exclusive keynotes, amenities, and celebrations. Jack Mitchell, Chairman of Mitchell Stores and author of the quintessential luxury sales tome Hug Your Customers , roused and inspired an audience of retailers as Tuesday morning’s keynote, while Thursday’s event featured the announcement of the highly anticipated LUXURY Retailers of the Year (ROTY). The winner, in a year that focused on personal touch, went to Crocker’s Jewelers of Texarkana, TX. An ongoing exhibit in Elite Enclave, INTERVISION, garnered much attention as its interactive exhibits and edgy designers demonstrated how to infuse technology into the shopping experience, a must for current (millennial) and future generations of consumers. "Our first experience with LUXURY has been terrific." Paula Peterson of Nanis Italian Jewels stated. "The caliber of retailers is impressive and JCK has a broad reach which we have the opportunity to take advantage of. Aside from meeting new elite buyers from Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico, the show is very well organized and boasts with optimism and positive energy—quite refreshing."
