WHO IS THE ONLINE SHOPPER? And why we all need to know.

Diamond jewelry sales alone topped $82B in 2017. Industry analysts agree that more than 78% of those sales are influenced by digital touchpoints: information the shopper receives online. With up to 20% of those purchases actually made online.

We all need to know who the online shopper is. 

Even more importantly we need to define "Shopper". No jewelry business can exclude themselves from the essential responsibility of knowing who the online "Shopper" is - even if they never sell a piece of jewelry online. We all must grasp the importance of online communication as perhaps the largest influencer of purchases, no matter where they are made. Which is the reason why we must become adept at communicating online, with a laser-like focus on what we communicate, along with how, where, when and to whom. 

The way we communicate online, via owned, earned and paid channels combined, is the way we make our first impression. And how we begin to develop a relationship that will allow our potential customer to know, like and trust us enough to purchase jewelry from us - whether it is online or in our store!

So who are the online shoppers and how to we develop a relationship with them.
