When creating custom jewelry, jewelers have to balance between their legal obligations not to copy others’ work and the requests their client is making of them.  Sara Yood, Senior Counsel at the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, will open the session with a brief primer on copyright and trademark, what copying actually means, and how those creating custom work can protect that work.
