Bernd Wolf Gears up for JCK Las Vegas
Freiburg, Germany–based jeweler Bernd Wolf and his jewelry designer wife Yvonne have been busy preparing to showcase the latest creations from Bernd’s eponymously named company at the upcoming JCK Show.
The brand specializes in contemporary fashion jewelry and accessories plated in 24k yellow gold and sterling silver—pieces that are easy to wear and accessible to collect. Lines inspired by nature (the sun, flowers, leaves) are bound to be a favorite of many consumers.
Below, we asked Bernd a few questions about what we can expect to see in Las Vegas.
Tell us a little about your latest collections.
We have expanded our 2023 collection with more than 200 exciting new styles, and our retailers are excited about many new bestsellers.
The Sun and Moon pieces of jewelry from the Pirouette design line combine day and night. They shine in sunny gold or bright silver and are wonderfully transformable, thanks to the rotating disc.
Yvonne Wolf has created new and inspiring pieces of floral jewelry that combine luminous tourmalines or shimmering freshwater pearls in special quality. With 90 new styles, our collection of jewelry for ears has undergone diverse growth, including tiny stud earrings, unique hinged creoles, and beautiful long and pendant earrings.
Your new offerings include plenty of tourmaline. Is there a particular reason why you chose this gemstone?
Tourmaline has sparked enthusiasm among numerous retailers and customers over the past year, so we have added many new designs featuring this special gemstone. Tourmaline is also known as the “rainbow stone” because of its diverse color spectrum, which includes bright red, light green, blue, and pale pink. This assures that it not only goes perfectly with our assortment and with our Bernd Wolf 24 karat gold plating in special quality, but also that it is a perfect fit for our current era, which is distinguished by cultural and gender diversity. The tourmalines that we process come from Brazil and the Congo and inspire connoisseurs with wonderful quality and expressive nuances of color.
What have your customers been asking for most in recent weeks? What are your bestselling styles?
Jewelry for the ears plays a prominent role. We experience how huge the success can be when the selection is right in our own stores. We also see the importance of our bestsellers for everyday wear. The trend continues for pendants in all sizes. Special gemstones such as tourmaline, sapphire, kyanite, lapis lazuli, and labradorite are our most important colored stones. We are especially pleased to see that our retailers are strongly interested in the new designs for bangles and earrings in the Swing design line, to which we have added the Selma bangle and the Selma earrings.
What are your plans for JCK this year? Can you give us a preview of what you will be bringing to the trade show?
The trade show appearance at JCK is especially important to us as a venue for the presentation of new highlights in our collections. We plan to show our entire Bernd Wolf collection at JCK. We have added new designs to our Charity collection with the dove of peace, which has been a great success and with which we support needy people in war zones. We are sure that it will also thrill our American customers.
What are you most looking forward to in Vegas this year?
We are looking forward to seeing our great customers in America, to dining in some of our favorite restaurants, and to witnessing the terrific shows that we plan to attend in Las Vegas.
