Jewels Gold
The precious metal jewels to see at the Show
It may come as no surprise to you that gold jewelry is still very much on the minds of buyers as we approach the halfway point of 2019. But as you’re sourcing for your holiday inventory at JCK Las Vegas this year, is it still a safe bet to be a best-seller?
If you trust the runways, the answer is an emphatic yes. From the recent showings on the catwalk of the Fall/Winter 2019 shows, gold is still a star.
If you’re shopping for immediate gold sales—to please your summer shoppers—you’ll want to look for styles like coin jewelry, heavy bold hoop earrings and chain-link necklaces and earrings.
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, the links in those necklaces get larger, and chunkier, and the hoop earrings, by contrast, seem to get a bit smaller (though their presence doesn’t—many models wore double or even triple hoops on the runways, at shows like Brandon Maxwell, Jonathan Simkhai, and Zimmermann).
Also from the gilded runways: Gucci’s golden brooches, Valentino’s pinky rings and Lanvin’s futuristic ear cuffs and thimble-like rings (it remains to be seen if those will go mainstream). Bottom line: though white metals dominated their fair share of the runways, gold is still a safe—and great—bet.
We dig the gold styles like these from a selection of our exhibitors and there’s so much more to be found on the show floor of JCK Las Vegas and Luxury.
