JCK’s world of watches
The watch category is an enduring one, and you needn’t look further than your smartphone to see why. Despite its ability to keep time—among its other capabilities—people still wear watches, simple as that.
That’s because a watch is much more than a time-teller. It’s a statement, an accessory, a treasure. There are those watches that are works of art: achievements of the highest skill of horology. There are practical types akin to various lifestyles: those built for running, diving, surfing. There are watches that use interesting materials, like those constructed of wood, that may make a statement on the wearer’s lifestyle—or they may not.
Watches are also frequently used to mark milestones. Retirees sometimes receive a timepiece to make such an occasion. A young woman’s first high-end watch as she graduates high school, a young man celebrating his Bar Mitzvah. A child’s first Mickey watch, tough enough to withstand anything a kid can throw at it. It’s not just for telling time, and this is why watches matter.
So what can we expect in the watch category at JCK Las Vegas? The key word is variety! You can visit JCK’s Clockwork Neighborhood on Level 2 of the Sands Expo & The Venetian for all your timepiece needs. Below, a preview of the timepieces to watch out for during your time at the show.
