All Dressed Up

The latest and greatest from Instagram

“All dressed up and nowhere to go,” as the saying goes. And, in many cases, it’s true. We’ve been spending the start of our summers kept away from large events and crowds, and every day activities, too. Whether it’s the summer vacation that was cancelled or the carefree, weekly group activities you miss, the last few months probably don’t look the same to you as they did this time last year.

As we adjust to a new normal—for however long is necessary—many are finding creative ways to adapt, and showing that you don’t need a jam-packed calendar to dress like you do.

Many jewelers are giving a glimpse at how things used to be through their Instagram posts, with fully-dressed—fully chic—snapshots complete with sparkling jewels, of course. In the current climate, these posts serve as inspiration to keep going, have hope—and get dressed. There’s something to be said for making an effort, even when it feels fruitless, in an effort to feel our best. Jewelry can play a big role in that, in the way it makes people feel, or in the way it can serve as a reminder to keep going (or, for those treasures purchased to mark an occasion, to look back).

As some areas begin to reopen, these images can serve as style inspiration, where trends haven’t been quite as obvious or accessible, with lack of fashion shows, retail store openings and simply spotting people on the street. On social media, though, you would think things were almost normal, if only for a few moments.

So whether to inspire a look for your next outing (or perhaps the re-opening of your retail store, if that’s in your future), as something to bookmark for a future date, or, simply for a style you want to wear in the backyard, here are some of our recent favorite jewelers’ Instagram posts that are all dressed up, complete with the mouthwatering jewelry we came here for.
