Rings for Everyone: The Latest in Engagement

When it comes to shopping for engagement rings today, one thing is true: consumers are not hurting for choices.

It used to be you could pick out one or two significantly headlining styles—the halo, the princess-cut, the Art Deco design—and while certain styles still dominate, it seems the only thing engagement rings have in common these days is that they’re worn on the ring finger.

Some shoppers seek a colored gemstone over the classic diamond. Newer still, is the demand for lab-grown diamonds versus natural ones. For shoppers on a budget, a lab-grown diamond offers a sizeable look for less. On the other hand, shoppers may opt for a smaller look featuring natural diamonds or gemstones, with the option to upgrade in the future or build a stack.

There’s no doubt that yellow gold has swept the bridal category over the last several years, and brides- and grooms-to-be are seeking it in bold, chunky pieces just as much as sleek ones with slimmer profiles. But white metals still seem the standard among wedding ring buyers, be it classic white gold or heavy, luxurious platinum.

We asked our exhibiting brands to share some of their latest and most popular styles with us and were treated to a wide range of styles suitable to a variety of tastes and budgets. As shoppers gear up for the holiday season with plans to propose, consider the notion that when it comes to engagement rings, there are no right or wrong answers, and each ring is as individual as the buyers themselves.

Below, some of the latest options, from colored gemstones and diamonds, bold gold, three-stone engagement rings, petite and lower-budget options, and more.
