A Letter from the Desk of Sarin Bachmann
To our jewelry community,
As I write this, I am filled with hope and excitement for the year ahead for the jewelry industry. There’s much in the works at JCK that we’ll announce in the coming weeks, but today I’m bringing you an update on how JCK and Luxury will return to in-person events and a look into our plans to promote health and safety.
I share what we’re planning with this assurance: Reed Exhibitions’ number one priority is the well-being of the people that come to our shows. Based on the recent success running our first live event for all of Reed US, JIS Miami, we see a continued path forward for safe, amazing events that may look a bit different than usual but still deliver the important business successes, networking, and education you have come to expect from us. To get a sense of how JCK is going to have a safe, smart return to in-person, see how we did this at JIS here.
Looking ahead to the JCK and Luxury shows this August, let’s talk about a few of the key safety measures we are taking so you can plan accordingly. The safety measures listed below are the cornerstone measures we plan to enforce at a minimum regardless if Las Vegas relaxes its standards. Keep in mind what we communicate is subject to change as CDC guidelines are adjusted. I encourage you to stay connected with us via our newsletters, social channels, and websites to have the latest information right up to the show.
- We are requiring approved face coverings for all individuals attending our events, including our exhibitors and staff. They must be worn at all times within our venues. For details, review our Face Covering Guidelines.
- Temperature screening upon entry. Anyone with an elevated temperature will not be permitted to enter the event.
- We will have increased sanitization and cleaning with enforced physical distancing throughout the event.
You can find the above and more in the Health & Safety section of our website that will always have the latest information and be updated with even more specifics as we get closer to the show.
Our esteemed partner, The Venetian Resort & Sands Expo, is providing additional peace of mind to our guests through its Clean Commitment that includes new cleaning practices for sanitation and hygiene that are in direct response to COVID-19 and meet or exceed the requirements of the CDC.
I am sure there are more questions than what I’ve shared here. We’ll be sharing more information in the months leading up to JCK and Luxury, and we are committed to being as transparent as possible. You can also always reach out to members of our team with questions that you might have in the meantime.
With the return of JCK and Luxury this August comes so much we were missing this past year: supporting the vendors and manufacturers in our industry both small and large; discovering new brands, emerging designers, new products and new technologies; connecting with old and new friends; the energy on the show floor; being present in the room when industry news is unveiled… I can’t even believe I’m saying this, but I think we also almost miss packing our assortment of show clothing and shoes. Almost.
In case you missed it, our JCK show registration is live! If you haven’t yet, you can register here and we will finally all reunite while discovering what’s new, next, and innovative in the jewelry industry like you only can at JCK.
Thank you for your continued support in what has been a difficult time for our entire jewelry community. Thank you for your patience with us at every turn and for your understanding as we continue to navigate the future of our ever-changing industry and events together. Rest assured that our goal remains the same: producing optimal and safe environments – face-to-face and digitally – for the entire jewelry industry to buy, sell, network, and celebrate.
Can’t wait to reunite with you!
