Catching Up With Bellarri
Founded in 1977 by Bellarri Adleman, the eponymous brand Bellarri has been delighting its customers with richly hued jewelry for years. The brand’s designs are colorful, bold, and modern, with a hefty collectability factor that has each piece feeling like a wearable work of art.
We caught up with Bellarri, the CEO and designer of the brand, about what inspires her creations, what shoppers are looking for this year, and what the brand has planned for 2023.
Your collection is always very colorful. Are you at all influenced by annual color trends or demands in gemstones?
This is a really great question. Honestly my answer is neither—I am inspired to make pieces that reflect romance, femininity, confidence, and joy. I find that by utilizing rich color gemstones
and my artistic cutting techniques, I am able to bring my gemstones to life within each of my designs. My gemstone color combinations set new trends and allow each collector to create her own distinctive style. As an artist, I am always conscious that fine jewelry speaks to every woman differently. It is important to recognize that a true artist should capture the eyes, the soul, and the heart.
What do you anticipate shoppers are looking for this year?
Women want chic day to night. We want to be able to wear and enjoy our pieces every day. Fine jewelry is more than just a beautiful accessory—it makes a woman feel put together, confident, and empowered. Colored gemstones bring an intangible vibrancy and spirit, and I love that I get to elevate a woman’s self-esteem and sense of style.
What is the average Bellarri customer like?
A Bellarri customer is often a self-purchaser, however there are many men who do have great fashion sense and understand the beauty that is Bellarri. Whether a self-purchase or a gift, I believe that the ultimate collector will understand and appreciate the substance and inherent value in each of my creations. We build collectors through integrity and design.
Do you have a favorite of your jewelry offerings?
I have many favorite collections! My collections in general reflect my mood and schedule at the time. Right now, I am favoring layering my Eternal Love 360° necklaces and bangles. They are fun statement pieces that can take me from the office to a meeting, a presentation, or a dinner. And it is all absolutely seamless.
Can you share with us anything new you have coming up for 2023? What sort of collections/pieces are you working on?
I am working on some fabulous new cutting techniques for our gemstones! We are also creating some fun new Legacy collections featuring larger stones. We are adding more stacking and layered looks, and we will be also introducing some special collections with accents of enamel.
